Greetings, Tumblr World!

knifeerrant:

We’ve decided it is high time we make our stamp on this place, and after much arguing, groveling, and thrown Chinese food (just kidding, we wouldn’t waste Chinese food), we have arrived. Certain parties are failing at technology, and so our links are a little bit in coming, but, never fear!

What are we?Well, according to our FAQ, “Knife Errant is a podcast featuring Dungeons and Dragons play that has been heavily edited for listener enjoyability.”

Who are we?
Nerds with no life, clearly. But, what we’ve found out is that each one of us is a wizard… a rogue… a fighter… a warlord… and a DM…

Okay, maybe we’re not all DM’s, but some of us can dream.

It’s not fair to Tumblr to be stuck in the middle of our sequence, so, for your listening pleasure, and ease, we will be providing links to ALL our episodes! And other top secret content… some created specifically for this forum. Stay tuned, and keep your swords sharp…

"Where now are the horse and the rider?
Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning, Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?”

One of my schoolmates did a rather good choral/orchestral arrangement of this poem, and finangled me into helping perform it in both his recitals because it was from Lord of the Rings.

Manwë is dearest to Ilúvatar and understands most clearly his purposes. He was appointed to be, in the fullness of time, the first of all Kings: lord of the realm of Arda and ruler of all that dwell therein. In Arda his delight is in the winds and the clouds, and in all the regions of the air, from the heights to the depths, from the utmost borders of the Veil of Arda to the breezes that blow in the grass. Þúlimo he is surnamed, Lord of the Breath of Arda. All swift birds, strong of wing, he loves, and they come and go at his bidding.
With Manwë dwells Varda, Lady of the Stars, who knows all the regions of Eä. Too great is her beauty to be declared in the words of Men or of Elves; for the light of Ilúvatar lives still in her face. In light is her power and her joy. Out of the deeps of Eä she came to the aid of Manwë; for Melkor she knew from before the making of the music and rejected him, and he hated her, and feared her more than all others whom Eru made.
